Kristy Mcnichol — 58 YEARS OLD
Kristy McNichol conquered the small screens in the 1980s with the TV shows, “Little Darlings”, “Only When I Laugh”, and “Empty Nest”. Her great acting talent didn’t only get the people’s attention but also the award-giving bodies, winning two Emmy Awards for the TV drama “Family”. However, in 2001, McNichol announced her retirement. During her time in the business, the 58-year-old did a lot of notable projects, including the TV movie about American nurses in a World War II Japanese POW camp, “Women of Valor”.
She also had credits in two theatrical films, “You Can’t Hurry Love” and “Two Moon Junction”. She, too, was part of the iconic sitcom “The Golden Girls”. Although she left the show in 1992, she returned for its final episode in 1995. After retiring, McNichol enjoyed life to the full. She began teaching at a private school in Los Angeles and was constantly exposed to new things. Moreover, she also invested most of her time and energy in charity.
