UMA THURMAN

Uma Thurman was born in a wealthy family in Massachusetts and moved to New York with her family. When she was 15 years old, she was discovered on the streets of New York by two model agents and became a cover model. She has appeared on the covers of dozens of magazines. Uma Thurman’s most famous early acting credit goes to her performance in the 1994 cult film classic Pulp Fiction as drug lord Marsellus Wallace’s mysterious but extravagant new wife Mia. The part got her an Oscar nomination as well as other distinctions.

She was wed to her Gattaca castmate Ethan Hawke in 1998, with whom she birthed a daughter that same year. Thurman has made Hollywood her home despite her 2003 split from Hawke, earning more acting credits through her work in films like The Accidental Husband, where she plays the lead alongside Colin Firth, and Prime where she stars alongside Meryl Streep.
